Terms of Service

Beacon Local ("Beacon Local", "we", "us") is a subscription software service that helps local businesses monitor how they appear in AI-powered search engines, audit their website and local presence, and receive recommendations to improve their visibility.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind that business.

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Prices are listed in US dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Each plan includes one business location; additional locations are billed per location per month.

You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no refunds are provided for partial periods. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, applied from your next renewal.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any third party's rights;
• Attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours;
• Reverse engineer, resell or white-label the service without written permission;
• Submit content that is fraudulent, defamatory or infringes intellectual property rights;
• Interfere with or overload the service's infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Scores, audits, recommendations and generated assets are produced by automated systems, including third-party AI models. They are provided as guidance only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing any content before publishing or acting on it. We do not guarantee any particular ranking, visibility or business outcome.

You retain all rights to the business information and content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide and improve the service. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The service relies on third parties, including AI model providers and Google services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of third-party services, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon Local's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.

You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms or with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
